Samsung Lions

Went to another Samsung Lions baseball game, but this time with my cam. They killed the Kia Tigers, who are #1 in the league this season, 14-4. crazy. Nate and I initially went to spend time with a group of orphans, but there weren't enough seats for all of the chaperons, so we had to sit a few sections outfield from the kids. It was still fun though.

Taiwan

{Photos here.} (Panoramics will be up soon.)
Ho. Lee. Crap. Taiwan is amazing. Loved it. Compared with S.Korea, the people are much nicer, eager to help you out, and speak much better English. My favorite part of the trip is the people. I wish I could've taken a posse of Taiwanese with me back to Skorea just to have around. I am definitely going back some day. Perhaps to teach!

We spent 4 days there; first day was just chillaxing at our hotel and scoping out the local night market (photo above) in Taoyaun (tou-yane). The second day we decided to have a 'nature' day so we went to the Sandiaoling Falls (southeast of Taipei) – gorgeous. And we got to hang out with the locals in the area that were jammin' to karaoke – probably my favorite part of the trip. The third day we spent in Taipei where we got to go up in the tallest building in the world, the Taipei 101. rad. We then shopped in the very unique Core Pacific Living Mall. Also checked out a couple temples, Longshan and the Confucious Temples. Finally, we ended the day in the famous Shinlin Night Market.. it was ok.

Loved this trip. Can't wait to go back and explore the entire island...and it WILL happen.
